Dear Evan Hansen @ Royal Alexandra Theatre

Oh yeah, I'm gonna talk about musicals and theatre again.

"A letter that was never meant to be seen, a lie that was never meant to be told, a life he never dreamed he could have. Evan Hansen is about to get the one thing he’s always wanted: a chance to finally fit in. Both deeply personal and profoundly contemporary, DEAR EVAN HANSEN is a new American musical about life and the way we live it." That's the official synopsis in case you wanna know what it is about.

Back to my experience/review/me just talking about something I love so much. March 15th 2019 I saw Dear Evan Hansen live and it was amazing. I first heard of this musical when I was a junior in high school, and I instantly fell in love with it. It's sad, it's funny, it's real....and seeing it live was just wow.

The actors did such a good job, the music sound it so well, and the stage was just perfect. I don't think there was anything bad...but then again I love this musical so much I'm probably biased. I was sitting next to the sound booth and the whole time I couldn't stop looking at what the guys were doing (I have a small fascination with live production, specially in theatre). I also could not stop looking over at the orchestra, most of the time I would catch myself staring at the people playing rather than the acting itself, but it just made me enjoy everything so much more.

I have heard this music soundtrack so many times, and I've read the script, but nothing will compare to seeing it in person.
