I Love Theatre

Have I mentioned that I love theatre and musical soundtracks? Probably. I wish I had discovered this love I have for it sooner and maybe I could have taken part in the high school play earlier on.
Throughout my 4 years in high school there were only 2 school plays, one during my junior year and one during my senior year. During my junior year I didn't get involved in it until a month before the presentation because they needed someone to help with the sound. From this I got to experience all of the backstage stuff, which was super frustrating but also super fun. Senior year I decided to audition to be part of the cast and not just backstage; I was very excited because this year the musical was an adaptation of The Wizard of Oz. Keep in mind that I have zero acting skills, but somehow I ended up getting the role of the Wizard of Oz in one of the presentations (there were two casts to perform two different days) I also ended up being flying monkey.....but thats another story on its own (I was a damn good monkey btw). Senior year we also had a Drama competition and I again decided to act and perform a monologue which was a lot of fun.
Apart from taking part in theatre, I also love listening to musical soundtracks. Ever since I first heard of Hamilton in 2016 I have been discovering more and more musicals and I keep falling more and more in love with them. I sometimes like to think that in another universe or in another life I might have chosen theatre instead of music as my passion.
